Vitex is another great tree for summertime color. It is a smaller tree with spike-like white blooms and has blue flowers. They are great for areas where a smaller tree is desired.

With bloom colors available in white, pink, shades of blue or purple, their presence in a landscape will definitely draw attention from humans and butterflies alike.
