Alliance for Smiles and Classic Wines will host an international wine tasting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at the wine school at Classic Wines at 1210 Commerce Drive behind the Linger Longer Design Center. The public is invited to support the work of Alliance for Smiles, a nonprofit organization that provides free cleft palate and lip surgeries for under-served children around the world.
Lake area Rotarians Tina Hollcroft and Barbara Fisher serve on the Alliance for Smiles board and have participated in medical missions in China, Bangladesh and the Philippines.
Funds raised by the wine tasting will go to support Alliance for Smiles first African mission in Ghana from April 10 through April 24. A $20 tax deductible donation is requested at the door. For more information, call Classic Wines at (706) 453-4180.
