Affiniti Golf Partners names general manager

LAKE OCONEE — Affiniti Golf Partners has named Brandon Matney as general manager at Harbor Club on Lake Oconee.

Matney, whose family has owned Harbor Club since 1992, has worked at the community since 2004. He most recently served as project manager, overseeing land development, permitting, utilities, landscaping, road construction, preparing homesites for market and overall golf course maintenance.

In his new role as general manager, Matney retains his existing responsibilities, and adds oversight of all club operations, including food and beverage, catering, accounting, human resources, lodging, and all golf, swim, tennis and equestrian operations.

Additionally, he will oversee a comprehensive enhancement program of Harbor Club’s full-service marina, including managing a lessee for a new waterfront restaurant and the construction of a planned boat dry storage building.

Matney attended the University of Virginia (Wise Campus), where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
