Lake Oconee fishing tournaments are still controversial to many lake residents and I certainly understand why but overall the positive impacts of fishing tournaments outweigh the negative impacts when it comes to conducting these tournaments.
If everyone will do their part and that certainly includes the anglers, we should be able to enjoy the positive aspects of tournament fishing this year and at the same time minimize any negative feelings that may occur when fishing tournaments are held on the lake.
Happy New Year, good fishing and see you next week.
