Reynolds Oconee Course named Top 100 for sixth year

Reynolds Plantation’s Oconee Course Golf Shop has been designated one of the “100 Best Golf Shops in America” by Golf World Magazine.

2009 marks the sixth consecutive year The Oconee Course Golf Shop has been recognized for excellence in golf retail merchandising under the leadership of Director of Retail Merchandising Jean Silbereisen and Head Golf Professional Mike Davenport.

The award ranks golf shops in four categories: public, private, resort and off-course. The Oconee Course Golf Shop was honored in the resort category. The editors of Golf World evaluate the shops on merchandising strategy, visual presentation, financial performance and articulation of successful promotions and initiatives within the last year.

“We are thrilled to be recognized among the acclaimed golf shops in America for the sixth year in a row,” said Bob Mauragas, vice president of golf at Reynolds Plantation. Mauragas oversees the operation of seven award-winning golf courses at Reynolds Plantation and Reynolds Landing, both located at Lake Oconee and Achasta, located in historic Dahlonega.
