Lake Challenge Invitational held at Reynolds National

Reynolds National Course was the setting of the fifth annual LCI held August 17-19.
Usually played on the Oconee course, the Rider Cup tournament format matches had to be rescheduled at the National following the clubhouse fire at the Oconee. After jumping out to a commanding first day lead of five matches to one, the Mango team, captained by Dick Dunham, held off a hard charging Lime team, to tough out an exciting victory.
The winning margin was secured when Dunham birdied the final hole on the Bluff course to halve his match. Lime team Captain, Ken Kopesky, was quick to point out that his team easily won the chip off at the opening night kick off party. A special thanks goes out to Ben Bell, assistant pro, and all the staff at the National for making this annual event so enjoyable.
