The Pilot Club of Greene donated 30 bike helmets for use of students riding in the Union Junction Jamboree Bike Ride. The prevention and treatment of Traumatic Brain Injuries is a major goal of Pilot Club International. Each year local Pilot Club members visit the local elementary schools with a puppet show promoting brain safety and especially the use of helmets when riding bikes, skate boards, scooters, etc. The bright blue and green helmets provided for the bike riders are an extension of this program. Helmets were used by any child who did not bring a helmet to the Jamboree. They will be maintained Union Point Elementary Physical Education Department and made available for future Jamboree Bike Rides and for the Bicycle Club, Ms. Brown dreams of forming.
