Second Harvest Inc., a nonprofit food rescue program, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties has donated two freezers to The Putnam Community Food Resource Program.

Bob Landau, director and treasurer of the Putnam County Food Resource Program stated: “Having these freezers significantly increases our capacity to collect, store and ultimately offer wholesome food to needy residents of Putnam County.”

To acknowledge this donation, Rotarian and Second Harvest President, Lou Pack and Rotarian and Second Harvest VP Linda Maples presented a plaque to Bob Landau, showing the support of Second Harvest and the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties to The Putnam County Food Program. This presentation was made during the September 26, 2009 Putnam County Food distribution.
