East Athens Educational Dance Center to present annual show

The East Athens Educational Dance Center will present its annual dance performance at the Morton Theatre entitled “Something Beyond the Moment.” The production features a weekend full of performances highlighting the talents of more than 71 students from the Dance Center. Various styles of dance will be presented including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap and modern.
School performances are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25, at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Tickets are $3 per person.
A special interest group performance is set for Friday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. Special interest groups, including senior citizen organizations, youth organizations, church groups and individuals with special needs, are invited to enjoy an evening of dance performance. The admission fee is $5 per person, and the group must consist of 10 or more people. A reservation is required by Wednesday, Feb. 24, by calling the Dance Center at (706) 613-3624 or the Morton Theatre at (706) 613-3770. Reservations are accepted Monday-Friday, noon to 4 p.m.
The regular performances are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m. All performances take place at the Morton Theatre in downtown Athens. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door (pending availability). Ticket sales begin at the Morton Theatre Box Office on Monday, Feb.15, at 10 a.m.
