First United Methodist Church of Greensboro is currently selling tickets for The Original Amateur Hour. The event has a variety of talents lined up. From skits, singing, to dance, and poetry composed by youth — Feb. 28 promises to be an exciting evening.
The Original Amateur Hour is a fundraiser for the youth group of First United Methodist Church of Greensboro. The event will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at the church’s South Campus (4741 Carey Station Road). All are invited to attend. This event will also offer desserts for sale.
Tickets can be purchased for $3 ($15 max per family) from a First Methodist youth, through the church office (weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), or on Sunday mornings from 8:45 a.m. to noon at either the North or South Campus.
Youth and children alike are excited to participate! Stevonna Greene, a local seventh grader, is excited to share with the community “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Several youth will rehearse comedy skits in the upcoming weeks in preparation for the Original Amateur Hour.
