Annual Rotary golf tournament a success

Published 8:00 am Wednesday, May 19, 2010

The Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties held their annual golf tournament this year at Long Shadow Golf Club at Madison Lakes on Monday May 10, 2010. There were 88 golfers at our fundraising event this year. This event is the major fundraiser that enables Rotary to support over 25 local community projects as well as international projects.  Rotary also had its first Annual Golf Ball Drop.  Air Atlanta Helicopters dropped the golf balls and Dennis Haack won first place and $2000 for being only five inches from the pin.  Susan Dufford won second place valued at $1000 and Celia Covington was our third place winner for $500.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors for making our golf tournament this year such a success!
