As part of National “Be Kind to Animals Week”, three volunteers from The Oconee Regional Humane Society, along with 2 very cute puppies, visited two local preschools. Maggie Moran, Gloria Fasnacht and Bonnie Stewart talked to the children at Tendercare Preschool and Daycare Academy in Greensboro and The Mustard Seed in Eatonton about how to care for a pet.
Many thanks go to Tracy Baynes, director of Tendercare, and her staff, and Amy Manville and Miss Linda at The Mustard Seed for welcoming ORHS and the puppies. It was a great day for the children and the puppies, Luna and Loki, enjoyed all the attention.
The Oconee Regional Humane Society, a non-profit organization, will be kicking off the Building Campaign to build an Adoption Center on Harmony Road in Eatonton. If you would like to volunteer for ORHS, adopt a pet or have any questions, please call 706-454-1508.
Tax deductible donations can be mailed to ORHS, 6350 Lake Oconee Parkway, Ste 102, Pmb 178, Greensboro, GA 30642. ORHS Website www.ORHSpets.org.
