The Harbor Club Outreach Committee recently distributed donations to several local charities.
The Greene County 4-H program received a donation enabling four Cloverleaf 4-H members (fifth- and sixth-graders) to attend a five day summer camp at Camp Wahsega in Dahlonega. Another four scholarships were given to Georgia 4-H”ers (grades nine through 12) to attend the annual State 4-H Council meeting at the Rock Eagle Center where there will be workshops exploring the world of science and technology, healthy living and environmental concerns, to name a few.
The Circle of Love Center and The Greene County Food Pantry were also given donations to help them aid those in need of their services.
The Committee raised monies this past season with a Guy and Gals Card/Game Party in February and by holding semi-monthly dessert raffles at the Harbor Club Ladies League meetings.
