The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony with Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 5 to celebrate the renovation and opening of the new Eatonton Funeral Home.
Williams Funeral Home is a third-generation family owned and operated business that offers funeral services, monuments, memorials and cremation by licensed funeral directors. The crematory operators are CANA certified, state inspected, state licensed and approved. The Williams family began providing funeral services in 1952 in Milledgeville. The new Eatonton funeral home opened in April. The ribbon cutting ceremony gave the Williams family a chance to connect with the local community and showcase the newly renovated location. Z-97 also joined the celebration with the Welcome Wagon by providing a live remote.
“We decided to expand our business to Eatonton when we fell in love with this old home and the rest is history,” says Cameron Williams.
Through the Milledgeville location, Williams Funeral Home offers services that most funeral homes cannot offer on their own; its own cemetery, monument business and crematory.
According to Williams, Williams Funeral home is a member of the Chamber “for the support and opportunity to be involved with and help improve our local community. We could not have asked for any community to open its arms to us more than the people of Putnam County already have and look forward to serving our community.”
Williams Funeral Home of Eatonton is located at 306 N. Jefferson Ave., Eatonton, GA 31024. The family is available around the clock by phone at (706) 485-3303. For more information, visit www.
