The Lake Oconee GOP Candidate Convention was held Saturday, June 19. The event was sponsored by the Greene County Republican Party and featured conservatives from throughout the surrounding area and the 10th District. Congressman Paul Broun (R-Athens) gave remarks to the standing room only audience. The event was held at Spotlight Theatres at Parkside Main at Lake Oconee. More than 40 volunteers from Putnam and Greene counties worked to put the event together.
