Intruders take home first place finish

The Intruders fast-pitch softball team took first place in the CamSports June Bug Itch tournament in Lovejoy Saturday, June 19. The Intruders played a total of four games, making it to the championship game where they won following a tie-breaker shootout. The Intruders stayed in the winner’s bracket all day to capture the title. The Intruders are sponsored by Amici Italian Cafe of Milledgeville. Playing for the Intruders Saturday were (front row, kneeling): Ashley Rowland of Dodge County; Geordan Cullens of Washington County; Brooke Hinton of Washington County; Anna Jackson of Wilkinson County; (standing): Danielle Easterly of Putnam County; Jacy Hinton of Washington County; Emily Snider of Washington County; Anna Katherine Stewart of Washington County; Mattie Usry of Greene County and Jessica Hayles of Wilkinson County. Not pictured: Candace Story of Washington County. The Intruders are coached by Dennis Moore and Tim Turner. The Intruders are a 14-and-under travel softball team that includes players from Central Georgia counties.
