Mark your calendars today and plan to attend Watershed Wonders Saturday, Sept. 18.  Wander through a Piedmont watershed and discover how humans can impact local water bodies. Sample aquatic organisms in a stream and discuss how watershed assessment can help monitor the health of our groundwater and water bodies. Come prepared to get wet and explore one of Rock Eagle’s streams.

The session will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Rock Eagle 4-H Center’s Natural History Museum. Registration is required and the cost is $5 per adults, $3 for children 5 – 12 years old and free for children 4 years and younger.  For additional information and registration information please contact Matt Hammons at (706) 484-2862 or mhammons@uga.edu.

Each year the Rock Eagle Environmental Education program hosts over 13,000 students from across the southeast and is dedicated to promoting awareness of our local natural resources.  To learn more about the Environmental Education Program at Rock Eagle visit: www.rockeagle4h.org.
