These popular “turkey shoots” will once again be held on the grounds of the Lake Oconee Shooting Club located on Hwy 16 close to Pea Ridge Road in Putnam County.  There are two dates, both Saturdays; November 13 and December 11.  Prizes will include both turkeys and hams.  Safety officers will help children who would like to try their hand at this, or for anyone not familiar with the sport.  Participants can use their own guns or use ones that will be available at the venue.  All ammunition will be provided by the Elks.

If you have always wanted to shoot target practice with a shotgun, this is a great opportunity.  The competition is fun and there will be helpers for novices. Additionally, there will be food and drinks available plus a bake sale to make for a very fun day.  Proceeds are used for numerous Elk’s charities.
