With plants losing their foliage and weeds dying back, the natural food supply will not be as abundant as during the summer months. This means deer will be out looking for food and into your landscape even more. To help protect your deer sensitive plants, spray them with Liquid Fence or Bonide Repels All. There have been very good reviews on their success rates in keeping deer out of sensitive plants. Just follow the directions for use closely.

Trees: Service Berry, River Birch, Maples, Oaks, Magnolias (both evergreen and flowering), Weeping Willows, Dawn Redwood, Bald Cypress, Eastern Red Cedar, Golden Raintree, Dogwoods, Cryptomeria, Leyland Cypress, Japanese Maples, Ginkgo, Elms, Crape Myrtles and Cherries. All of these are available for special ordering.

Shrubs: Spirea, Junipers, Beauty Berry, Sweet shrubs, Indica Azalea, Laurels (cherry, Otto, English, Schip), Leucothoe, Witch Hazel, Viburnum, Forsythia, Abelia, Fothergilla, Tea Olive, most hollies, Kerria, Mugo Pine, Cypress, Rose of Sharon, St. John’s Wart, Itea, Winter Jasmine, Rhododendron, Yews, Cleyera, Anise, Ligustrum, Nandina, Pittisporum, Lorapetalum, Eleagnus, and Burning Bush.

Grasses: Adagio, Maiden Grass, Muhly Grass, Switchgrass, Carex Grass, Sedge, and Panicum Grass.
