Santa to visit Holiday House for pictures

Published 8:00 am Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Bring your children, grandchildren, pets — or just yourself — and have a picture taken with Santa by a professional photographer between 1 and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, at the Holiday House!

For just $15 you will receive a professional 5” x 7” color print while you wait … PLUS, a $5 coupon to Neighborhood Cleaners located at 868 Harmony Rd. in Eatonton. Additional prints may be ordered.

Also on the evening of Sunday the 14th, the Holiday House is hosting a wine and cheese Santa Charity Auction of ten uniquely beautiful, handmade Santas meticulously crafted by Lake Oconee Community Church Volunteers. The LOCC Santa Charity Auction begins at 7 p.m. at the Lake Welcome Center, located at 5820 Lake Oconee Parkway, next to Boats With Gusto on the east side of GA highway 44 (Lake Oconee Parkway).  All proceeds from the Santa pictures, the Santa Charity Auction, and LOCC’s 2010 Holiday House go to support needy families through local Greene and Putnam County charities.

Persons interested in the LOCC Santa Charity Auction may preview the gorgeous Santas by going to www.youtube.com and entering “2010 LOCC Santa Charity Auction” in the search bar, and then clicking on the found video.

LOCC’s Holiday House is a non-profit Christmas store selling made-from-scratch, refurbished, and new holiday decorations and gifts of all types — Santas, Christmas trees, ornaments, wreaths, angels, table decorations, garlands … anything Christmas!  This year’s Holiday House is located in the Lake Oconee Village shopping center at 6183 Lake Oconee Parkway — approximately eight miles south of I-20 on the west side of GA-44 between CVS pharmacy and the China Garden.  It will be open from November 1 through November 30, from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, only closed on Thanksgiving.

People may still donate new or no longer used Christmas items at the Lake Oconee Welcome Center located at 5820 Lake Oconee Parkway next to Boats With Gusto on the east side of Lake Oconee Parkway (highway 44).  Items can be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
