This weekend, a women’s tennis team representing the Lake Oconee Tennis Association (LOTA) traveled to Dalton to compete in the 2010 Southern Combo Doubles Georgia State Championships.  The ladies competed against qualifying teams from all over the state of Georgia.  The finalist team included Team Captain and LOTA Board Member, Suzanne O’Malley, Co-Captain Kim Leary,  Diane Brahn, Robyn Mann, Kayla Babb, Kim Rudolph, Linda Lindsey, and LOTA Board Member Margo Reynolds. The team was assisted by Mary Nell Culpepper and Kevin O’Malley.

Over 70 teams were represented in the three-day USTA (United States Tennis Association) sponsored event.  The local LOTA Women’s 5.5 Combo Team came in first place in their division and second place in the overall Women’s 5.5 Southern Combo Doubles Georgia State Championship
