The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony with Stronghold Christian Church on Saturday, Nov. 13 to celebrate the relocation of the Lake Oconee location to the new building in Putnam County.
Stronghold Christian Church originated in 1993 and is located in Lithonia, Georgia. Since March 2008 the Church has operated a satellite church in the Lake Oconee area at the Greene County High School Auditorium. On Aug. 1, Stronghold relocated into a new building on Lake Oconee Parkway in Putnam County.
Stronghold’s ministry was established on the Old Testament Scripture recorded in Nahum 1:7, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble and He knows them that trust in Him.”
According to Senior Pastor Benjamin Gaither and Pastor Dr. Sherry Gaither, “our mission is to equip and mature believers in the Word of God, thereby enabling them to faithfully complete their destiny and influence the world with the life-changing message of the Kingdom of God. Our mission is to advance the Kingdom of God in the ministry and the marketplace through active evangelism.”

Services are held on the first, third and fifth Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. Bible Study is held on the first, second and third Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Stronghold is a member of the Chamber in order to “build covenant relationships with the community and to help make a difference in the lives of the people of this area. We are a spiritual hospital committed to healing, deliverance and empowerment,” explains Senior Pastor Gaither.
