Local volunteer collects golf balls for Habitat

Christmas is a time of giving, a time we spend with our families celebrating this treasured gift of love. There are so many special people who help give to Greene County Habitat. People who volunteer their time graciously picking up a hammer to build homes for those in Greene County that are in need of a decent, affordable home to raise their family in. Christmas isn’t all about gifts, but about love and giving back. Helen Hall is one of those special people whose heart is about giving back. Helen Hall collects golf balls! For all you golfers out there, I’m sure you are wondering how may of those balls that Helen finds lost in the woods, water and who knows where she finds them are yours! I do know that I have graciously donated many balls for her to find, but I’m glad to do so. With Helen’s determination to go golf ball hunting, the time she gives in cleaning those balls and making them look new again, she sells them and donates the proceeds to charities like Greene County Habitat for Humanity.
On behalf of Greene County Habitat for Humanity, we express our heartfelt thanks to Helen who recently donated a check in the amount of $1,000 to Greene County Habitat. Helen has donated a total of $15,000 to Habitat & other charities since she started this mission many years ago. What a wonderful and gracious gift of giving. To all you golfers out there, always remember that it’s okay if you accidentally hit a ball in to the woods or in that creek, because all of your lost balls are giving back to our community and you can feel good about that! We thank Helen Hall for her charitable gift and all she does to help Greene County Habitat build futures for families in need of decent housing. Without people like Helen, who so generously gives back, Greene County Habitat would not have the opportunity to give back to the community itself. Thank you Helen for your generosity of your donations, love and support, and all you do for others!
Greene County Habitat for Humanity is a non-denominational Christian Ministry working in partnership with the community and future homeowners to provide decent, affordable, and safe housing for those in need.
