The First United Methodist Church of Greensboro is now taking applications for the 2nd annual Original Amateur Hour. This fun-filled evening will showcase various talents of children and youth in the community. The event will also offer a bake sale from members in the community.
The Original Amateur Hour is a fundraiser for the youth group of First United Methodist Church of Greensboro. The event will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011 at the church’s South Campus (4741 Carey Station Road). Everyone in the community is invited to attend.
Applications can be found online on the home page at www.fumcgreensboro.org or through the church office. Acts are currently being sought for the show. We encourage any children or youth in the community to fill out and turn in applications to the church office. The application deadline is Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011.
According to Xtreme youth leader Dwain Evans, “The OAH will feature some of this area’s finest talent and it is guaranteed to have you sitting on the edge of your seat enjoying the variety of acts and laughing uncontrollably.”
Beginning Feb. 6, tickets can be purchased for $3 ($15 max per family) from a First Methodist youth, through the church office (weekdays from 9 a.m. through 3:30 p.m.), or on Sunday mornings from 8:45 a.m.until 12:00 p.m. at either the North or South Campus.
