Union Point DDA/BHT welcomes two newest board members

Local Union Point residents, Leigh Crawford and Bud Kennedy, attended their first meeting on Thursday, Jan. 13, as the new members of the Downtown Development Authority/Better Hometown program Board members.

“The BHT program is delighted to welcome them on board,“ Lee Nelson, BHT program manager said. “Their ideas, involvement and support will help us make 2011 being even more exciting.”

The town is working hard to revitalize their historic downtown district. Current projects are the renovation is the Union Theatre and a public art installation which is partly funded by the Georgia Council for the Arts Grassroots Arts program.
