Mahogania Fleming, Social Services Case Manager/Resource Developer with Greene County Department of Family & Children Services (DFCS) was the speaker at a recent Rotary Club weekly meeting.
Fleming gave an overview of the services offered through DFCS. The mission of DFCS is to provide Georgia with customer-focused human services that promote child and adult protection, child welfare, stronger families and self-sufficiency. She stated that she wanted to make the community aware of these services in order to get partners to collaborate with them on their foster and adoptive parent program. Fleming also was seeking help with mentoring children, donating time and services to children in foster care, and providing care packages for children when a child arrives in foster care. According to Ms. Fleming, “our number one goal is to keep families together as much as possible.”
