The First United Methodist Church of Greensboro is currently selling tickets to the second annual Original Amateur Hour variety show being held February 27th. The event already has a variety of talents lined up. From skits, singing, to dance, and poetry composed by youth, the evening promises to be an exciting time.
The Original Amateur Hour is a fundraiser for the youth group of First United Methodist Church of Greensboro. The event will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the church’s South Campus location (4741 Carey Station Road). Everyone in the community is invited to attend. Delicious baked goods and other tempting desserts will also be available for sale.
Tickets can be purchased for $3 ($15 max per family) from a First United Methodist youth, through the church office (weekdays from 9:00-3:30), or on Sunday mornings from 8:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at either the North or South Campus locations.
According to Amanda Garvin, Associate Pastor to Youth and Young adults, “We already have some fantastic talents lined up for the show this year. Both youth and children have told me they have been thinking about and practicing their act for the Original Amateur Hour all year.”
