Rotary warmly welcomed guests from Putnam General Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011. Heather Thrift, public relations director and Rotary member, Pam Douglas, director of nursing, and Darrell Oglesby, Putnam General Hospital administrator, gave an informative presentation regarding new services and programs going on at Putnam as well as the importance of high quality patient care and stability throughout the coming Healthcare Reform.
Putnam General Hospital has many new and growing programs that have been positively impacting the community, those of which include the addition of Hospitalists, an in-house sleep center, a budding orthopedic surgery department and state-of-the-art imaging technology.
Thrift stated, “The foundation on which we stand is top quality patient care and stability throughout our 40 plus years of service. We will do nothing but continue with our mission and are proud to be your community hospital. We are honored to serve you and are so thankful for the opportunity to reach out to local organizations such as Rotary, an organization that does so much in this area.”
