Don’t get confused by overabundant advice

For several years a lawyer and a doctor had regularly played golf together. They were evenly matched, and there was a keen sense of rivalry. Then one spring the lawyer’s game suddenly improved so much that the doctor was losing regularly. The doctor’s efforts to improve his own game were unsuccessful, but finally he came up with an idea. At a bookstore he picked out three how-to-play golf texts, and sent them to the lawyer for a birthday present. It wasn’t long before they were evenly matched again.
Don’t get confused by all the different advice folks can give you. Follow the one who can lead you down the right path. Of course, we begin that path of Lent this week, preparing our hearts for Easter. Have you made your Easter Sunday plans yet? If not, I hope you can join me for the 10th annual Easter Sunrise Service at the Reynolds Plantation Pavilion at 7 a.m. If that is too early, there will be a service at 9 a.m. at the Reynolds Lake Club. If you don’t want to dress up and instead have a fun, informal Easter Sunday with your family, come at 9:30 a.m. to the Lake Welcome Center by Boats with Gusto for fun activites for the kids followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. Lots of options. Hope you can join me. Wishing you much love and much light.
