The Putnam General Hospital Auxiliary has worked very hard in 2010 to raise funds to benefit Putnam General Hospital through the bake sales, fashion shows, soup luncheons, the gift shop, Christmas sales, and the Love Lite Tree Ceremony. Thanks to their dedication and hard work, the Auxiliary was able to provide the funds to purchase a new OB stretcher for the Emergency Room.
“We are so thankful and appreciative of our Auxiliary and its continued support of our hospital,” said ER Supervisor Adam Bedgood. “This stretcher was very much needed. We can now continue to provide optimum care for our patients.”
“Despite the economy we were so proud of our volunteers and community showing their continued support of the hospital by attending and giving to our many fundraising events,” stated Tony Franklin, Auxiliary President.
One of the most popular events provided by the Auxiliary are the Drive Thru Flu Shots given each fall. This year the Auxiliary was able to provide 700 free flu shots to the community and PGH employees.
Putnam General Hospital Auxiliary is a dedicated group of over 70 volunteers from the community who have provided over 20,000 volunteer hours. Each year the Auxiliary holds several events to raise money for the hospital. All funds by the Auxiliary are translated directly into patient care. The Auxiliary also raises funds through the Pinafore Pocket Gift Shop located at the entrance of the hospital.
