Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Director, Bo Fowler, was the speaker at a recent Rotary Club meeting. He gave an overview of what FCA is doing in the Lake Oconee area. Currently, there are 18 schools in the neighboring five counties who are participating in the program.
Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering, and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
The vision of FCA is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches. FCA has four seeds to their ministry: coaches, campuses, camp, and community.
Fowler is asking our community to get involved through: prayer (a monthly prayer guide bookmark is available), serving (getting involved with the local FCA), and giving (offering financial support). For additional information on how to get involved, please contact FCA at www.lakeoconeefca.org.
