Better spring weather means it is time to sample the area art offerings

Dare I say it? Okay, here goes — the weather should get better from now on — so, head on out on an art ramble or two … and don’t forget to check out all the spring festivals.

Annual Spring Art & Shop Walk, Thursday, April 21 from 3 – 8 p.m. Couture Consigner, Aurum Jewelry Art, Madeleine Page, Magnolia Art Gallery & Mandevilla host their annual Spring Art & Shop Walk in Parkside Commons, Lake Oconee Village, just off Hwy 44 behind Publix. Each shop will have a wine Reception, special discounts and featured artists.
The Point of Art Gallery’s has a special “The End of a Series” sale .. a few remaining paintings from various bodies of work by Anne Jenkins are on special offer — fine art, low prices. The gallery is located at 604 Sibley Ave., in the historic district of Union Point. The gallery is open Saturdays, to visit the gallery any other day just call ahead and they’ll open for you. The Hampton Fine Art Gallery hosts their April show, “The Featured Artist Gala Show” with regional artists.
