The March meeting of the Harbor Club Ladies League was held at the Carriage House in order to accommodate the “Show & Sell” event scheduled by Kay Dejno, Donna Jean Kendall and Lindy Williams of the March program committee.  They decided that with so many talented ladies in the group it would be a good idea to not only showcases their talents, but to give others a chance to purchase their wares.  The walls were lined with display tables where the ladies could browse or buy from the many exceptional items available.

After the luncheon, Co-president, Joyce Johnson called the meeting to order. She introduced new members — Donnna Gensler and Connie Bryan and welcomed guests  — Pam Dobson, Barbara Holland, Ivy Stone and Ida Harris.

Debbie Burns of the Activities committee updated the ladies on the four-day excursion to St. Augustine in April.  May will bring a visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and lunch at the famous Swan House.

Cheryl Laine, of the Outreach Committee, reported on the success of  “Guys and Gals” card/game party, the $2,000 raised will go to local charities.  They will also be donating household items to the new Habitat House being dedicated this spring.

Nominating Committee chairman, Camille Mancuso, presented a list of nominees for next year’s officers, the slate to be confirmed at the April meeting.

HCLL’s own Diane Gburek will be appearing in “Twelve Angry Jurors” at the Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton.  A theater group from HC will be attending the Sunday matinee performance to cheer her on — after lunching at Hanna’s in downtown Eatonton.

A Spring Fashion Show is planned for the April meeting, featuring styles, shoes and accessories from local specialty shops here in the Lake Country.
