Picture this: Photos of your kids at Southland Jubilee

Associated Photographers of Lake Oconee (APLO) are excited to participate in this year’s Southland Jubilee.  Club members will be set up to photograph children in booth 86, in the children’s area of the Southland Jubilee.  Bring your child anytime from 9:00am to 4:30pm – no appointment necessary. They will be taking casual portrait photos of children up to age 12 and giving the digital images to parents on a CD.  Parents may then make whatever prints they want at a local facility like Wal-Mart, CVS, etc.

APLO is a local photo club for amateur photographers who are serious about having fun and interested in learning how to take better photographs.  Monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday at The Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton.  Meetings are informal and usually include a speaker.  Each month a subject is assigned to photograph and at the meeting they are shown on a screen for comments from the members.  It is a learning experience that is entertaining at the same time.  Periodic field trips are organized for fun and to improve photography skills.  In addition to learning, the meetings and field trips provide the opportunity for social interaction with people sharing a common interest in photography.

If you are a shutterbug at heart, you would enjoy this group. Check out their website: http://apol.directra.com/rog/view/538. If you have questions about the club, you can contact them using the club’s email address: APLO2010@aol.com.
