Cafe Saturday coming back downtown Saturday

Café Saturday is back as downtown businesses stay open after the sun goes down this Saturday, June 11 from 5-8 pm. Café tables will decorate downtown Greensboro as friends and neighbors are invited for an evening of food, live music, summer shopping, and family fun!
Enjoy al fresco dining in Greensboro’s historic downtown as our very own The Yesterday Cafe serves dinner on the Courthouse lawn as the guest restaurant for June’s Greensboro Saturday event. The Yesterday Cafe will extend their southern hospitality to serve their customers on colorful picnic tables lined down the sidewalk in front of the courthouse. The menu will include their very own tasty and flavorsome chicken salad and tuna salad sandwiches; juicy, refreshing fruits; cold iced tea or lemonade and of course their infamous buttermilk pie!
Live music will filter throughout downtown as JazzMinds, featuring vocalist Elton Parks, performs a playlist made up of summertime favorites.
Visitors to downtown will find deals and specials from the downtown merchants as they welcome visitors to Lake Oconee’s Hometown! Greensboro Jewelers will have lots of silver earrings at 25% off in addition to new Pandora Beads. Stop by Butterfly Treasures, LLC and receive 10% off selected items. See their new “Decorated Lead-free Porcelain Water Dispensers and Premium Oak Floor Stands,” “Indian Hills natural spring water,” and “Metal Butterfly Crossing Signs.” Visit Genuine Georgia, LLC an artisan marketplace for 10% off wooden art collections. Greensboro hosted the first Café Saturday in 2004 as the town welcomed shoppers with a guest restaurant. Now in its eighth summer, Café Saturday remains one of downtown’s most popular events and will make up a part of the Greensboro Saturdays series that features a unique downtown event the one Saturday of each month during the spring, summer and fall.
