On behalf of the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties, President Tom Cornelia recently made donations to The Boys & Girls Club of Greene County, ATLAS Ministries, and the Lake Oconee Summer Camp program.

Accepting the donation for the Boys and Girls Club of Greene County was Alex Falanga.  Falanga announced that the Boys & Girls Club will open on June 20th for a six week summer program.  The program will be housed at the Greene County Elementary School and will include a learning room, art room, teen room, and games room.

Chairman of the Board Mike Daniel, accepted the contribution for ATLAS Ministries.  Daniel stated that ATLAS is focused on families and children.  Formed in Greene County in 2006, ATLAS is a Christ-centered community resource that works with families who are committed to setting their lives on a healthy and productive new path.

Sponsored by the Lake Oconee Community Church, the Lake Oconee Summer Camp program will provide  culturally enriched activities in a safe learning environment this summer for children in Greene and Putnam Counties.  Pastor Avis Williams stated “It’s all about investments and dividends” when it comes to serving the children in our communities.
