The lake area community is invited to a free screening of “Tapped” at Spotlight Theaters in Greensboro on Monday, July 11 at 7 p.m.
Tapped offers a behind-the-scenes look into the unseen world of an industry that aims to privatize and sell back the one resource that ought never to become a commodity: our water. From the disturbing lack of regulation, to plastic production, to the oceans in which so many empty bottles end up, “Tapped: trails the path of the bottled water industry and the communities that were the unwitting chips on the table.
The movie is being presented by Dr. Ramona Warren, Dr. Justin Lance and Dr. Haley Lance of Pathways to Healing.
“Water is our most important nutrient,” says Dr. Warren. “However, there are certain issues with regard to drinking bottled water that people need to be aware of — issues that have an impact not just on their own health, but on the communities and environment around them.”
Opened in 2005, Pathways to Healing specializes in holistic chiropractic care. Believing the body is made up of interdependent parts, Pathways doctors consider the whole person, as well as his environment, in an effort to treat the ailment not just the symptoms. Doctors draw on a variety of complimentary techniques, including chiropractic, kinesiology, nutrition and lifestyle counseling to help support the body’s natural healing processes. Doctors also utilize saliva testing, hair analysis and food allergy testing to help offer patients permanent solutions rather than temporary fixes. Pathways to Healing is located at 1022 Founders Row, Lake Oconee Village, Greensboro.
