WHAT: The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation and Singleton Marine Group will make an end-of-summer splash in the last weekend of August with an action-packed Wakeboarding Weekend, featuring a series of exhilarating wakeboarding and wakesurfing clinics, exhibitions and packages – all culminating in a Summer Concert and fireworks display. Wakeboarders of all aptitudes will zigzag across beautiful Lake Oconee. Riveting exhibitions will showcase wake-savvy boarders demonstrating huge aerials and other skillful maneuvers.

WHY: Staff at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge – situated on Lake Oconee – designed the clinics to accommodate a growing guest demand and interest in this lake-friendly sport. Wakeboarding popularity has exploded in recent years – it’s easier than water skiing because of the maneuverability of the wakeboard itself.
