THE COW SHOW 2011, curated by Jackson Cheatham, marks the return of this bovine-inspired exhibition to the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center 21 years after making its debut in 1990. THE COW SHOW 2011 will be on display through October 15 at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center.

COW DAY! The cows are coming to the cultural center. Live Animal Exhibits will cover the front lawn of the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center during this family fun day. Free. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Ferst Foundation for Childhool Literacy announces its fall yard sale to be held Saturday, October 8, from 8 a.m. – noon at the old Dairymen’s Building (behind McDonalds) in Eatonton. Whether you are in the market for furniture like recliners, chairs or desks, decorative items for the holidays or sporting goods like skis and bowling balls, this sale will have a great variety of items to choose from. Please come out on October 8 to support the Ferst Foundation of Putnam County.

The Greene County Boys and Girls Club will be sponsoring “A Festival of Trees, A Greene Christmas,” Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Festival Hall in downtown Greensboro. 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Oct. 1 and will be available at participating merchants. Adults: $5 children ages 8 to 18 $3, Children under 8 admitted free. Festival includes: Trees, Wreaths, Table Centerpieces, Gingerbread Houses, Secret Santa Shop for the children, Bazaar for shopping unique gifts, Listen to Christmas music from our local choirs and children. Lake Oconee Landscape Association has formed to promote professionalism in the green industry, in the lake country. All members of LOLA are required to be licensed, insured and reputable. LOLA members provides services such as; landscape installation, maintenance, lawn and shrub fertilization, weed control, garden centers, all your outdoor needs. The Greene County Toastmasters Club invites everyone who wishes to improve their public speaking ability and increase their confidence to join them. The club meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month at the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Greensboro (next to the post office). The meeting starts promptly at 6 p.m. Greene County Toastmasters is a chartered member club of Toastmasters International. The mission of the club is to assist members in learning and developing their communication skills. Toastmasters International has grown to become a world leader in helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience. The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition-Georgia Chapter will host “Hearts of Teal” the last Tuesday of each month. Survivors of all
