The First Baptist Church Gym will host a night of Christian music, food, and fun on Sept. 30 for Fifth Quarter from 9:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. “Against the Downpour”, a Christian rock/worship band based out of Madison, Georgia will be playing at Fifth Quarter, a celebration after local football games,  which is open to all of the youth of the community.

“Against the Downpour” has played with GRITS,  Barlowgirl, The Museum, DecembeRadio, The Amorous and Euclid Grey formerly of Boys II Men. They have been nominated as the top band for Lake Oconee in “Lake Oconee Living” and their musical influences are Third Day, Casting Crowns, Big Daddy Weave, Building 429, DecembeRadio, NEEDTOBREATHE, and John Waller.
