Don’t miss the opportunity to join The Oconee Cellar and Da Corrado Ristorante for a Christmas Charity Event to benefit The Greene County Christmas Stocking Fund. The event will be held at Da Corrado Ristorante on Monday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. There will be 24+ wines to taste along with some great Italian foods prepared by Da Corrado Ristorante. Come and enjoy the spirits and the food while helping to make Christmas a little brighter for those less fortunate in our County.
The Greene County Christmas Stocking Fund is a private, not-for-profit organization run with an all volunteer staff that provides food, clothing, and toys to qualified families and senior citizens. This year that will include 370 children and 200 senior citizens.
Tickets are $25 per person and all proceeds will go toward the Greene County Christmas Stocking Fund. Tickets are available at The Oconee Cellar, located in the Publix Shopping Center, and Da Corrado’s located off Hwy 44 at 1061 Village Park Drive, Greensboro, GA. Hurry and buy your tickets before they sell out!
Redeemer Episcopal Academy invites the community to its third-annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the school, located at 680 Old Phoenix Road in Eatonton. Santa will arrive at 6:30 p.m. for the lighting of the tree. The event will feature refreshments, caroling and more. Saint Joseph’s East Georgia’s Auxiliary will hold a Gold & Silver X-Change where a buyer will pay top dollar for your broken or unwanted gold or silver jewelry, coins, etc. On Dec. 5 from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. come to the Conference Room at the Hospital in Greensboro. On December 6 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. come to the Imaging Center at Cowles Clinic at Lake Oconee.

Oct. 27 – Feb. 18 – ‘Scapes
The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center in partnership with The Steffen Thomas Museum presents ‘Scapes an exhibition of Landscapes, Cityscapes and Seascapes by Steffen Thomas. This exhibit presents paintings selected from private collections to represent the best works by Steffen Thomas, a German-American Expressionist, who worked as an artist in the Atlanta are from 1929 until 1990. Curated by Hathia and Andrew Hayes.

Hometown Promenade to be held from 5-7 pm Friday, December 2.
Join your friends and neighbors in historic Greensboro for the annual lighting of the community Christmas Tree on the Court House lawn. Local church and community choirs will perform. Enjoy a tractor-pulled hay ride, hot cocoa, a sidewalk cafe, crafts for the kids, and even a visit from Santa himself! The tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m.

John Berry’s Joy to the World Christmas Tour is coming at 7 pm Saturday, December 17 at Festival Hall
Festival Hall welcomes back John Berry for his second annual holiday performance in Lake Oconee’s Hometown. This year’s Joy to the World Christmas Tour is sure to delight long time fans and newcomer’s to John’s music alike.
John’s stunning performance of the title track from his 1995 CD “O Holy Night” led to the country music artist’s most endurance legacy. John began doing a Christmas tour in 1996 and this year will mark his 15 consecutive Christmas concert series.
A limited number of seats are available for this one-night only show.

Lake Oconee Landscape Association has formed to promote professionalism in the green industry, in the lake country. All members of LOLA are required to be licensed, insured and reputable. LOLA members provides services such as; landscape installation, maintenance, lawn and shrub fertilization, weed control, garden centers, all your outdoor needs.
