The Greene County Christmas Stocking Fund (GCCSF) has recently completed another successful year. This year GCCSF distributed food, clothing and toys to 200 families (including 375 children) and 200 senior citizens.  

Lloyd and Vickie Jenkins, co-chairs, along with board members Targie Folds, Bud Sanders and Becky Cronic would like to thank the 70-plus volunteers who worked with us this year to make this another successful campaign.    

There are many churches, businesses and organizations that support the GCCSF by way of cash donations, fundraising, and/or toy collections.

Finally, a special thank you goes to the family of Hal Stewart. Hal and his wife, Betty, formerly co-chaired the GCCSF. Hal passed away in September 2011 following a courageous battle against lung cancer.  The family requested that donations be made to the GCCSF in Hal’s memory and more than $2,500 was donated.

The GCCSF is an all volunteer organization and could not achieve this success without the continuous support of volunteers, businesses, churches, organizations and individual donors.
