Dark brown sugar, pumpkin, lemons, yogurt, olive oil, honey, soy milk, blueberries — does this sound like your shopping list? If so, you have the ingredients used by the Ritz-Carlton Spa for a few of its facial masks and cleansers.

At the Jan. 18 lunch meeting held in the new Oconee Clubhouse ballroom, the Plantation Ladies Club welcomed John Kossenyans, the Ritz-Carlton spa manager, as its special guest. Around the room were stations that held combinations of the ingredients, and the ladies were invited to mix their own potions to take home, along with a copy of the recipe. Sherie Huebner, spa director, and Angela Hays, lead aesthetician were on hand with information on the benefits of using natural ingredients to counteract the aging process and answer questions about the Spa. Through the end of February, The Spa at the Ritz is offering 50 percent off retail spa services Monday through Thursday to Reynolds Plantation members. In other PLC business, Dona Stanton won the 50/50 raffle benefitting ORHS and future activities on the busy PLC calendar were noted.
