Friends of Greene Co. Library host annual dinner, meeting

The First United Methodist Church Family Life Center was the setting for this year’s Friends of the Greene County Library annual dinner/meeting. Members, supporters and friends were welcomed by president, Gillian Switala who then introduced Mary Lou Noonan of the Nominating Committee who read the names of those selected for office.
The officers for 2012 are: Gillian Switala, returning as president, Joan Bernardino, Vice President, Peggy Uehlin, Secretary and Anita McCoy, Treasurer.
Cliff Sanders, chairman of the Board of Trustees, updated the members on the newly expanded and renovated library completed this past summer and the plans that are underway for 2012.
Dr. James Choomack of the First Presbyterian Church gave the Invocation and blessing before dinner was served by Elise’s Elegant Edibles.
Homeward Bound, a local gospel quartet provided the evenings entertainment with gospel favorites, patriotic songs as well as a few all time well loved popular tunes.
