On Wednesday, Feb. 29, Georgia Watersports held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new location at 3016 N. Columbia St. (Highway 441) in Milledgeville. Local residents along with members of both the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce and Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber were in attendance for the exciting event.  Georgia Watersports recently moved from its location along U.S. Highway 129 in Jones County, where the business has operated since 2006. Georgia Watersports now occupies a large 8,000 square foot facility that will help serve the local community much better than the previous location.

“We are excited to be able to offer residents of Lake Sinclair and Lake Oconee a one-stop shop for boats, marine parts, accessories, toys, repair and rentals without having to travel the long distances that they have been accustom to in the past,” stated owner Nathan Collins. “A number of our new customers have told us they are happy that they don’t have to spend the gas money traveling 40 to 60 miles to reach some of the boating stores they used to shop at,” explained Collins.

Georgia Watersports has access to over 325,000 parts and accessories for everything from boats, jet skis, ATVs, motorcycles, mowers and more.  If an item is not in stock, it can usually be ordered and delivered to the shop within one business day.  Georgia Watersports is an authorized dealer for Yamaha, Honda, Sylvan Pontoon, Interstate Battery, Connelly Waterskis and CWB Wakeboards, but also can get parts and do repair for any make and model of boats or personal watercraft.
