April 1 marked the one year anniversary of Lake Oconee Urgent & Specialty Care Center to the lake and surrounding areas. The urgent care is a primary care facility specializing in urgent care services, geriatrics, integrative medicine, and family wellness.

Dr. Eddie Richardson and Dr. Jamelaah Gater are joined by a knowledgeable staff of nurses, medical professionals and nurse practitioner Angela Hargrove. The practice is open seven days a week and offers evening hours.

“We have lived in this community for several years and knew this was the place we wanted to practice medicine,” said Dr. Richardson, geriatric specialist. “The local community has been very supportive, and we are proud to have the opportunity to serve our patients with the services they need in a timely manner.”

“Lake Oconee Urgent Care was a blessing when we were visiting from out of town,” said Rachel Lowe, Tennessee resident. “Our son had an accident, and we needed medical service quickly. The team at Lake Oconee Urgent Care was friendly and attentive. They were wonderful, helping my son stay calm and comfortable.”
