David and Maria Siffert, of Dress the Walls Art Gallery at Lake Oconee, were guest speakers at the Harbor Club Ladies League April meeting. The couple came armed with paintings, pictures, frames mats and even needlepoint to show the special framing needed for exhibiting various art media. Along with offering unique and affordable art, they also offer custom framing, ready made frames and framing supplies.  They generously donated three beautifully framed pictures for door prizes.

President, Camille Mancuso, welcomed members and guests before presiding over the business meeting.

Joyce Johnson reported on Harbor Club’s generous donation (most pounds ever) to the Greene County Food Pantry.

Cheryl Laine, of the Outreach Committee, asked that the ladies deliver their shower gifts for the new Habitat homeowner to her as soon as possible ~ so that they’ll be in place before the family moves in.

Terry Subacz was sworn in as the new HCLL Treasurer for 2012-2013 season, all other officers will remain in their present positions.

The ladies applauded fellow HCLL members and resident artists, Kay Dejno (best of show at Quilt-Fest) and Leigh Lofgren (photographs at MMCC’s prestigious Juried Art Show) for their outstanding achievements!

Vice President, Dale Fahey, advised the members to make reservations early for the Evening Social being held in May. The event will close out the season as the ladies and their guests dine and dance under the stars on the clubhouse lawn.

Before adjoining, names were drawn for door prizes. Dress the Walls winners were, Nancy Dawkins, Brenda Hill and Judy Stultz.  Winners of spring floral table decorations were, Judy Cerny, Sandra Glass, Lynda Grant, Suzie Hudson, Joyce Johnson, Cheryl Laine, Camille Mancuso, Lois Miller, Gail Peacock, Laura Ride, Kathrin Rudland and Jeanie Wilson.
