Vacation Reading Club kicks off in Greene County

The Greene County Library recently kicked off its Vacation Reading Club. This year’s theme is “Dream Big — Read!”
To encourage the children to read
throughout the summer the Friends of the Library is extending the program to Thursdays beginning on May 24th through July (the exception being July 5). Movies related to children’s literature will alternate with live entertainment. Regular programs will run from 1p.m. to 2 p.m., movie dates will run from 1pm until 3 p.m.
A magician, reptile wrangler and storytellers have been engaged this year along with three movies ~ The Adventures of Tin-Tin, Indian in the Cupboard and How to Train Your Dragon. As always, an Awards and Pizza Party will close the season on July 26.
StoryTime tots (ages 0-4) will also have their Vacation Reading Club on Thursday’s, however, they will meet with Ms Mag and crew from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The little ones must be accompanied by an Adult.
