“Reynolds is back!” was the message to the Ladies At The Landing (LATL) on Oct. 5 from guest speaker John Gunderson, Senior Vice President, Daniel Corporation, the new management company for Reynolds Plantation. Mr. Gunderson shared three goals for the Plantation – to provide residents with a vibrant lifestyle, to be respectful of the costs of Reynolds services and to maintain healthy real estate values. Plans for the Landing Golf Course include significant modifications of the 15th hole, tee box expansion, cart path repair and additional ornamental plants. He explained that the Landing Golf Course will be closed until April and is the first of the Reynolds courses to be revamped. MetLife, new owner of Reynolds properties, plans to bring the course back to its original masterpiece design by Bob Cupp, an architectural genius. Georgia’s best golf courses at its debut in 1986, second only to Augusta National, and the Daniel Corporation and MetLife have as a priority to restore it to its original pristine condition.

Mr. Gunderson envisions that “The Landing will be one of Reynolds’ most robust neighborhoods.” He discussed ways residents can assist in making the dream a reality. He responded to many questions posed by members of the LATL.

The LATL meeting, hosted by Kathy Sakal and Judy Broome, also included a spirited fashion show, previewing fashion trends for Fall 2012. LATL models, Betty Ann Jacks, Cindy Estle, Elizabeth Hughes, Laura Heebner, Angela Mauldin, Janice O’Kelley and Joyce Parr, sported a variety of looks from glam to sassy. Vibrant colors, bold designs and sleek knits were musts featured for the Fall wardrobe. To the delight of the ladies, Mr. Gunderson showed his playful side by escorting Betty Ann and sporting model moves that would rival any runway veteran. Fashions were provided by Lake Oconee’s Fishtales Boutique, owners Rhonda and Robert Bradley, and Madeline Paige’s Classy Footware and Accessories.

Jane Gray was the lucky raffle winner and will share her bounty with the Boys and Girls Club of Greene County.
