The Lake Club Tennis Center at Reynolds Plantation is pleased to announce Natasha Stoop as their newest Peter Burwash International (PBI) Tennis Professional. Stoop comes to Reynolds Plantation from James Creek Tennis Center in Cumming, a state-of-the-art tennis facility with twelve courts.
Born in Kimberley, South Africa, Natasha’s junior tennis record led to a tennis scholarship at Columbus State University in Columbus where she played for four years and received a degree in Sports and Recreation. She then served as Assistant Tennis Coach for both the men’s and women’s teams at her alma mater while earning her master’s degree in Public Administration.
While in Columbus, Natasha worked with Cross Court Sports and was also involved in promoting tennis as a member of CORTA (Columbus Regional Tennis Association). It was here she first met PBI Professionals at the Columbus Celebrity Classic. During her tenure with PBI, Natasha’s assignments have included JW Marriott’s Desert Springs Resort in California, Kapalua Resort in Hawaii, Hong Kong’s Aberdeen Marina Club and the Jumeirah Hotels in Dubai.
Natasha is delighted to be back among friends at Reynolds Plantation where she served as the PBI Head Teaching Professional, teaching private and group lessons and running social and instructional programs for members of Reynolds Plantation and guests of the Ritz-Carlton Lodge during the summer of 2007. After which she completed her 450-hour training program on PBI coaching concepts and resort and club tennis management and programing in Palm Desert, CA.
Director of Tennis at Reynolds Plantation, Dave Neuhart, says Natasha will be a great addition to the team. “She not only brings a world of experience gained with PBI, she returns to us having worked here in the summer of 2007. Her strength lies in her ability to not only connect with the juniors and help them excel at all ages, she also encourages the female players to become more involved. Natasha demonstrates a wonderful ability to make everyone feel comfortable on court. She will be well liked, very popular and help our tennis program grow even faster.”
